How it works

Three steps, no account

Add your entries

Type or paste your entries one per line — names, options, prizes, or anything you want the wheel to choose between.

Set your options

Toggle duplicate removal and shuffle order if you need them. No setup, no login, no waiting.

Click Spin

The wheel spins with a realistic animation and lands on a cryptographically fair random winner — entirely in your browser.

Why it matters

Make decisions with confidence

Whether you are running a giveaway, picking a student to answer in class, deciding what to eat, or making any other random choice, the Universal Wheel Picker gives you a verifiably fair result every time.

Giveaways

Run a fair giveaway with a transparent random selection. Share a screen recording to show your audience the result is genuinely random.

Classrooms

Teachers can use the wheel to randomly select students to answer questions, give presentations, or choose teams — fairly and transparently.

Decisions

Can't decide what to have for dinner or which project to tackle first? Let the wheel decide — remove the friction of choice paralysis.

Team selection

Randomly assign team members to projects, distribute tasks, or pick who goes first in any activity.

Duplicate protection

The remove-duplicates option ensures each entry appears only once, so no entry has an unfair advantage.

100% private

Your entries never leave your device. No upload, no server, no storage. Switch off your internet and it still works.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Basics
Is this wheel picker free?
Yes. The wheel picker is completely free with no limits. There is no paid tier, no account required, and no features locked behind a paywall.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no login, and no account of any kind. Open the page, add your entries, and spin immediately.
Is my data stored or sent anywhere?
No. Everything happens entirely in your browser. Entries are never uploaded, stored, or transmitted to any server. You can verify this by disconnecting from the internet — the tool works exactly the same offline.
How is the winner selected?
Winners are selected using crypto.getRandomValues() — the browser's built-in cryptographically secure random number generator (CSPRNG). This ensures every entry has a mathematically equal chance of winning.
Options & usage
How many entries can I add?
There is no hard limit built in. In practice the wheel renders clearly up to around 50 entries. With very large lists the text on segments will be small, but the random selection remains accurate.
How do I use the wheel picker?
Type or paste your entries into the text box, one per line. Then click Spin. The wheel animates and lands on a random winner shown below the wheel.
What does Remove duplicate entries do?
When enabled, duplicate entries are removed before spinning. The comparison is case-insensitive, so Entry and entry count as the same.
What does Shuffle order on each spin do?
When enabled, the order of segments on the wheel is randomised before each spin. Combined with the random spin itself, this adds an extra layer of unpredictability.
Can I spin again with the same entries?
Yes. Click Spin Again to re-spin with the same entry list. Each spin is fully independent — the previous winner is not excluded automatically.
Privacy & technical
Is my data sent to a server?
No. Everything happens in your browser. Entries are never uploaded, stored, or transmitted anywhere. The data exists only in your browser's memory while the tab is open.
What randomisation method is used?
The tool uses crypto.getRandomValues() — the browser's built-in cryptographically secure random number generator (CSPRNG). This is far more unpredictable than Math.random() and cannot be predicted or influenced.
Why is a random wheel picker fairer than choosing manually?
Manual selection introduces unconscious bias — you might be drawn to familiar names or entries you notice first. A CSPRNG-based wheel gives every entry an equal mathematical probability of winning, which builds trust with your audience.
